“Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you’re ready or not, to put this plan into action”

Have you made plans to attend or made your booth reservation for the biggest networking event in the Crescenta Valley? On Wednesday, Sept. 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. is the Foothills Business Community Expo, which is held every year at the Verdugo Hills Hospital. It is brought to you by all three local chambers of commerce: Crescenta Valley, La Cañada Flintridge and Montrose-Verdugo City. There will be over 50 vendors displaying their goods, demonstrating their services and networking with the other participants and the general public. The public is invited for free and the following restaurants will be serving delicious food: Angeles National Golf Club, Dream Dinners, Frank’s Famous Kitchen & Bakery, Leo’s All Star Sports Bar & Grill, Masis Bakery, Montrose Bakery, New Moon Restaurant, Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. There will also be raffle drawings throughout the evening for fabulous prizes donated by the local businesses. The evening includes free admission, free food, entertainment, and raffle drawings. How could you not join us? I believe it is a great plan of action.
Another plan of action would be to join us Saturday, Sept. 25 for our 5K Walk/Run and Kids Fun Run. The 5K starts at 8:00 a.m. with check-in starting at 7:00 a.m. at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave. in La Crescenta. Cost is only $20 which includes a T-shirt. You may also be a sponsor of the 5K Run/Walk and for only $100 your company’s name will be listed on the event T-shirt, your company’s banner will be displayed at the event, your company’s name will be listed in all newspaper advertising for the event, your company’s name will be listed on all posters and flyers advertising the event and your company will receive a free business card sized ad in the chamber newsletter. Deadline for sponsorship is Sept. 9, so call the chamber immediately for more information or to secure your spot.
Make sure you mark your calendars for our family friendly business mixer on Oct. 13 at Bonners Equipment Rentals. It is co-sponsored by Mobile Game Train, which will have its customized gaming trailer at the event.
