Few would disagree that local law enforcement and fire fighters went above and beyond in their efforts to protect Crescenta Valley homes and lives during the recent Station Fire. Jessie Ingels, owner of Cutters hair salon on Foothill Boulevard, couldn’t agree more and wanted to reach out to say thanks in a special way.

On Sept. 19, she launched a thank you program for safety personnel that extends until the end of the year. She is offering free haircut service to any law enforcement or fire official who makes an appointment and shows current active identification in one of the local safety agencies.

“I just wanted a way to thank them for their efforts and hard work,” Ingles said. “If they show [a badge or other form of identification], we will gladly honor it with a free haircut. We want to say ‘thanks.’”

At the Sept. 19 kickoff, Berolina Bakery was on hand to provide baked goods for those who stopped in for a haircut.

Appointments are necessary and available by calling (818) 249-8051. Cutters is located at
