Where We’ve Gone – and Where We’re Headed
Some of you may have noticed that the former digs of the Crescenta Valley Chamber – 3131 Foothill Blvd. ‘D’ in La Crescenta – have been vacated by the Chamber. To speak frankly, COVID did a number on us … the great events that the Chamber was known for (including networking mixers, the Hometown Country Fair and bingo games, among others) were put on hold during that interminable amount of time. This of course put a financial strain on us so when the masks came off and we were able to hold these events again we also took the time to reevaluate the value of having a traditional brick-and-mortar address. What we decided was, at this time, that wasn’t the best use of our resources. Consequently, the tough decision was made to move on.
So our executive director Rachelle is working out of the offices of Crescenta Valley Weekly. She is still available to help with any and all Chamber matters and is eager to create dynamic events that make us proud.
Speaking of which … on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 6 p.m., the Chamber is holding an epic networking event for its October mixer. Hosted by KNA x CLAWSSY LA, located at 3156 Foothill Blvd. at Pennsylvania Avenue, this will be a mixer unlike all others. Vendors, a taco truck, DJ and more will be featured … plus the bonus of meeting other business members in the area! Access to this event is just $15 for members; guests pay $20. As a bonus, any businesses or residents who that night sign up for Chamber membership not only get their enrollment fee waived, they get free entry to this epic event. What a deal!
