The Holidays are Here! It is Time to Relax and Enjoy All Montrose has to Offer
“We’re so busy watching out for what’s just ahead of us that we don’t take time to enjoy where we are.” – Calvin & Hobbes
Sometimes we all need to be reminded to enjoy today, set our worry aside and take time to relax and enjoy ourselves. The holidays often become such a stressful time for many. We are busy, hurrying here and hurrying there all in the name of “The Holidays.” Don’t let that happen to you. Research shows that stress and worry lead to various health problems and can take a toll on your personal life. You can counteract the stress with a heaping dose of fun and positive experiences. This is exactly what you will find in Montrose this holiday season. There are so many things to do in Montrose for the holidays starting with our Halloween Spooktacular event. This year there will be some added “fun” to the event. Not only will the businesses be handing out their candy, but there will be games and contests and prizes galore!
Then starting the Friday after Thanksgiving, the Old Town Christmas in Montrose begins with free pony rides, free horse drawn trolley rides and live music up and down the street. On Saturday, Dec. 3 is the 35th Annual Christmas Parade that you don’t want to miss!
You can find great holiday shopping at all of our local retail stores while you stroll the streets at our November Artwalk on Nov. 17. The Artwalk is a great opportunity for you to find a unique, original piece of art to give as gift. That is always something special. Finish the day by eating at one of our local restaurants, enjoying one of our bars or having your favorite dessert!
Please join the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce for its November business mixer co-sponsored by The Wine Cave and Giuseppe’s Pizza in Montrose. There will be networking with other businesses, cool mixer prizes and fantastic wine and food by two great local establishments here in Montrose.
As always, if you have any questions, want to become a member of the chamber or have any suggestions, do not hesitate to contact us here at the Chamber office.
