Shop & Dine Spooktacular This Friday!

Bring the family for trick-or-treat!
Bring the family for trick-or-treat!

The merchants of the Montrose Shopping Park invite you and the family to dress up, shop, dine and enjoy our annual Halloween Spooktacular on family-friendly Honolulu Avenue. The event takes place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Friday. Merchants will be handing out treats to children under 12 from 5 p.m. ’til the candy runs out.

Watch as Food Network star and master pumpkin carver Jon Neill transforms pumpkins before your very eyes at the corner of Honolulu & Ocean View. Groove to the music of three live bands! Doug MacDonald Jazz will be in the Black Cow block, Doo-Rag Ragtime in the Paradis Ice Cream block and Mark Towns Flamenco Jazz in the Grayson’s Tune Town block.

Being the “giving” community that we are, we are providing an opportunity to teach your kids how to give back. Stop by YMCA “Healthy Halloween Candy Collection” booth to donate candy to the troops and have a chance to win a bike. You’ll find them at the Vietnam War Memorial.

Do you really want to soak up the small town Halloween atmosphere? Come and stroll our streets, check out the Halloween windows, and shop our one-of-a-kind stores. Find out why Honolulu Avenue in Montrose has been selected as a finalist in the American Planning Association’s 31st Great Place In America. Please, please, please Google this and vote to make us the winner. The finalists are selected for exemplary character and quality and represent the gold standard in terms of having a true sense of place, cultural and historical interest, community involvement and a vision for tomorrow. Sounds like Montrose, eh?
