The Problem of Bullying and a Local Place to Get Help

According to the American Justice Department, one out of four kids are bullied and this month one out of every four kids will be abused by another youth. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention says that people often dismiss bullying among kids as a normal part of growing up. But bullying is harmful. It can lead children and teenagers to feel tense and afraid. It may lead them to avoid school.

Enter M3 Fight and Fitness in Montrose. They offer classes to give kids in our area a chance to gain skills to make them feel more confident in themselves. Their bully-proofing teaches problem-solving, perseverance and tenacity, let the shy wallflowers bloom and teaches empathy and respect for others. They also teach many kinds of martial arts classes like Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai kickboxing, wrestling, judo, self-defense classes and teen MMA.

But don’t be fooled. M3 Fight and Fitness is not just for kids. They offer Muay Thai boxing, wrestling, judo, submission grappling, boxing, MMA, kettlebell training and TRX suspension training. Plus M3 Fight and Fitness offers a “women only” boot camp, Brazilian Jiu-Jitzu and Muay Thai kickboxing. They have nearly 70 classes every week and feel that no other facility can match that!

According to owner Rudy Fischmann, “At M3, you’re a valued part of the family. That’s because you aren’t another number, you are part of a mission to enhance lives. And it’s not just the same talking points that every martial arts school spoon-feeds you about confidence, stress-reduction, discipline, climbing walls, walking on water, etc… That stuff (well, at least the first three) is significant, but what we have to offer is so much more. It’s saved my life – both literally and figuratively.”
