News from the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce

A Grateful Chamber Heart

Looking back at the last year and a half fills us with mixed emotions but we can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. It’s been a rough 20 months for so many, if not all, of us; but it has been incredible to witness our community come together to support one another.

We saw everyone make an even bigger effort to “shop local” and the City of Glendale, plus our local and state representatives, really stepped in by offering different resources, grants and loan opportunities. Let’s not forget the Al Fresco Program that the City of Glendale facilitated to assist our local restaurants – and, quite frankly, our sanity (there’s nothing quite like sitting outside in beautiful Montrose, especially after a lockdown).

As for us at the MVCC, we managed to get through it because of our amazing business and community members. We cannot articulate how touched we are by the support we received and continue to receive. Our sincerest thank you to all of our donors, our chamber members, city and state dignitaries, and longtime supporters for sticking by our side and seeing the value that our almost 100-year-old chamber of commerce has. Monetary donations go a long way but so do friendly gestures of showing up. Just look at this photograph by Panos Productions Photography of the lovely ribbon cutting ceremony for Silky Skin. The support was overwhelming and we cannot wait to have you all at our future events. We have so much in store for Montrose, and we cannot wait to share it all with you.

Have a lovely Thanksgiving month and don’t forget to shop local this holiday season!
