It’s Christmas at Mountain Rose Gifts
Aren’t you glad we don’t rush the seasons in Montrose? Now that Halloween is safely behind us, Mountain Rose Gifts continues its 15-year Montrose tradition of closing the store, covering the windows, and transforming the shop into “A Christmas Cottage” featuring the latest Christmas home décor and collectables. The store will reopen this Saturday to ring in the holiday season with Christmas music, treats and inspiring displays all packaged in custom gift bags. Saturday is always a fun shop & dine day in the Montrose Shopping Park.
Oh the tasty beauty of this autumn colored, pepper flecked, hot pepper jelly! You can find it most Sundays in our Montrose Harvest Marketplace at the Highway Highlands Farm stand. Meet local jam chef extraordinaire Regan Boone who crafts close to 80 varieties of jams and jellies right here in La Crescenta. She is full of tips on ways to use her hot pepper jelly. My favorite is to put a block of cream cheese on a beautiful platter and then spoon the pepper jelly over the cheese. Decorate with a sprig of greenery and surround with crackers. Try it for Thanksgiving and watch it disappear!
Thee Elbow Room’s patio is all ready for you to spend a cozy fall evening enjoying their hand crafted food and ales. If dishes like butternut squash soup, balsamic tuna melt, house made pimento grilled cheese and roast beef on brioche strike your fancy you are in for a gastronomic experience Montrose style. On your next shop & dine day check them out for lunch or dinner. Thanks again for reading and shopping Montrose! www.shopmontrose.com
