Master’s Tae Kwon Do

There is a new martial arts facility in Montrose and it is right on Honolulu Avenue.     Owners Jason and Nara Ahn have been in the business for many years and have another studio in West L.A. Jason Ahn is a 7th Dan with over 40 years of experience. Even though tae kwon do is an individual sport, Master Ahn emphasizes teamwork.

“A joint effort between the instructors, senior ranks, and junior ranks makes a good student of tae kwon do. Instructors initiate the training but junior students learn from the support of their senior ranks, and senior students improve their skills through instructing junior ranks. MTC naturally develops leadership skills and a sense of respect, not only for adults, but for everyone,” said Ahn. Masters Tae Kwon Do believes tae kwon do is more than just another form of martial arts. You will develop discipline, respect for yourself and others, self-confidence and leadership skills for your children, self-control, self-defense and focus for yourself. Go ahead and try it.  They are offering a grand opening special where you get one month for $50 plus a free uniform. We will be having a ribbon cutting on Friday, Nov. 9 at noon. Remember to save the date to hear Glendale City Councilmember Laura Friedman speak in Montrose to give a state of the city address to the Northern Glendale area. She will be speaking at the Sparr Heights Community Center on Wednesday, Nov. 28 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
