‘Tis The Season in the Montrose Shopping Park!
Get ready for the most charming experience in Montrose! It’s the “hap-happiest” season of all with festive window dressings, sweet treats, millions of flickering lights and merchants going all out to make Montrose the best place to spend this holiday season.
As the town begins its transformation, we wanted to inform CV Weekly readers of key dates to mark on the calendar:
The first day of grand festivities starts with music to your ears from singing carolers at the annual White Friday Town & Tree Lighting Ceremony Nov. 25. Mayor Paula Devine will be there to officiate as we light up the tree and the town to make the Shopping Park look and feel like Christmas. We named it White Friday because we will make it snow that evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.!
Immediately following White Friday is Small Business Saturday. Invest in the community by shopping local businesses on Nov. 26. The merchants are working hard to make Montrose your one stop-shop for unique gifts, services and menus that offer holiday cheer with hearty meals and catering options for those holiday parties.
Dec. 3 – come one, come all to the 40th Annual Montrose-Glendale Christmas Parade! Arrive early for Christmas shopping and an enjoyable experience at the restaurants. “’Tis the Season to be Jolly” spirit is what Montrose strives to deliver.
From White Friday to Christmas, enjoy the wonderful weekend tradition of live music in every block, free horse-drawn trolley rides, free pony rides on Saturdays for the kids, visits with Santa Claus and more – Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s all a part of the Old Town Montrose Christmas experience. Every time you come to town, use the #ishopmontrosefirst for a chance to be featured on the @shopmontrose Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Google +
This week our Market features delicious sweet guavas, just-ripened persimmons, and 10 varieties of apples. And while you’re shopping at the Market enjoy the beautiful sounds of the Hill Street Jazz group . . . they’re fantastic! Most Shopping Park stores and restaurants are open during the Sunday Market hours.
