Welcome New Member Spiritual Heart Yoga
The holidays are fast approaching and we all know how stressful this season can be! If that is you, then we have some good news for you. Spiritual Heart Yoga Center is now open! Owner Krissy Harb opened this yoga studio to create a sacred space for our community to practice yoga. Here is what Krissy has to say in her own words:
“Welcome to your sacred space to practice yoga and connect with community. Our intention is to create a space for self-discovery and transformation. SHYC is an intimate yoga studio in Montrose, formerly The Yoga Studio Montrose. We offer classes for all experience levels and welcome new and experienced students alike! SHYC currently offers hatha, hatha flow, and restorative yoga classes on a weekly schedule. We believe to be connected to one’s own spiritual heart means to move from a space of love and clear intention, which anyone can access by a deep inner listening to their heart’s own wisdom. SHYC offers daily yoga classes, educational workshops, conscious retail and more.”
If you are new to yoga or haven’t done it in a while, don’t worry; SHYC has options for everyone. SHYC offers memberships, various class series and unlimited monthly classes. You can customize your plan to meet your needs. Not only does it have regular classes that their instructors teach, it also hosts special events on a regular basis. Coming up just in time for the holidays is Deep Fields Sound Bath with Sean Levahn on Dec. 3. Curious? Here is what Krissy has to say about it:
“This class explores the impeccable boundaries of our collective sonic landscape [by] using the power of planetary gongs, quartz crystal, singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, Ghantas, rains sticks, drums and other instruments to help us journey deep inside ourselves. The overarching theme to all of these sonic events is the restoration and rejuvenation of our overly stimulated nervous systems, a return to Heart-centered intelligence and tapping into the universal flow of synchronicity to facilitate the visionary co-creation of our future now.”
Sean has been a certified massage therapist, Reiki master and sound healer for over 25 years. This is a special event not to be missed.
Also, on Dec. 9, SPHY will be hosting the Spiritual Heart Holiday Market.
“Gather in community to support local artisans and high vibe ‘makers’ at our Holiday Market and get your holiday shopping done locally and support small business! Krissy.”
The Holiday Market will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Spiritual Heart Yoga Center. Log onto www.spiritualheartyoga.com/events for times and prices or call them at (818) 249-4520 or stop by the studio! They are located at 2509 Honolulu Ave. (near Trader Joe’s and the Montrose Bike Shop). Check back with SPHY often. Classes are changing all the time!
On Wednesday, Nov. 15 we will be having a champagne mixer and ribbon cutting at the John Sparr Tavern. It is on a special night to help kick off the holiday season. At the mixer you can expect great networking, fantastic opportunity prizes and delicious food and drink. Dave Fink and Rick Powell will be showcasing some of their many menu items for you to enjoy. The mixer will be taking place in the outdoor patio that has just had the finishing touches added. We hope you can join us for this fun event and raise a glass to help us officially welcome the John Sparr Tavern to the community. John Sparr Tavern, 3437 Ocean View Blvd., Glendale 91208. Open daily starting at 11:30 a.m. www.johnsparrtavern.com.
