Holiday Spirit Comes to Montrose
Get in the holiday spirit at the Montrose Shopping Park! This weekend kicks off the Old Town Montrose Christmas tradition with White Friday and Small Business Saturday.
The local merchants in your community encourage you to Shop Small. When you Shop Small you directly support your mom-and-pop shop owners, which keep dollars in your neighborhood. Created in 2010 by American Express, Small Business Saturday (this year on Nov. 26), the day after Black Friday was specifically designed to encourage you to buy local. To take the best advantage of Shop Small, go online and enroll your American Express card. You can then earn double points. Last year alone, 88 million consumers shopped small, up 14.9% from 2013, spending $14.3 billion at local establishments such as Montrose Shopping Park.
Look for merchants with the blue “Shop Small” sticker in the window. Each merchant provides their own incentives, from blanket sales to giant 50% off the sticker price to tax free purchases, grab-bag sales and free gift with purchase.
A few of our many participating merchants are J’adore Boutique is offering grab bags with discounts from 15% to 50% off. Merle Norman Cosmetics is offering a free gift-with-purchase. Walk This Way is having a sale via Facebook. And many more…
Also, be on the lookout for the free “ishopmontrosefirst” tote bags with a minimum purchase and use it as a stocking stuffer! By all means be creative and enjoy your shopping time in Montrose.
You are all invited to our annual town and tree lighting starting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25. Mayor Paula Devine will light the tree and the town at 7 p.m. Have a Happy Thanksgiving – and see you at White Friday and Small Business Saturday!
This week our Market features beautiful fall flower bouquets, crisp delicious Pink Lady apples, Brussels sprouts ready to roast or sauté, and a new crop of potatoes. And while shopping enjoy the incredible sounds of The Subs trio … they play the songs we remember. Most Montrose Shopping Park shops and restaurants will be open while you visit the Market.
