Thanksgiving Greetings from CVCOC

Happy Thanksgiving from the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce! We would like to thank all of our members for their continuous support and involvement in our chamber. We would like to also thank the many volunteers who donate their time throughout the year. Thanksgiving is about togetherness and appreciation and our volunteers embody that completely. Our sincerest thanks go out to them and their families in this time of grace.

We would also like to thank our members for their investment in the Crescenta Valley. Without these dedicated men and women, our community building events would not be possible. We are proud to be a part of a strong community that comes together in times of crisis as well as times of celebration. In the spirit of giving thanks, we would also like to report our gratitude for our local public safety officials who make it possible for us to focus on things beyond our basic needs to build a society worth living in.

Thank you also to our troops overseas. Our hearts and well wishes go out to those brave men and women, as well as to their families here at home. It can be very difficult for our armed forces to be so far away from their loved ones for the holidays, and we very much appreciate the sacrifices they make to keep our country safe and free. All in all, Thanksgiving is about recognizing our similarities over our differences, so in this holiday season try driving a little slower, giving a little more, breathing a little easier, and remembering that we are all human and have been blessed with this amazing world we live in. Fringe Hair Salon is having a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Dec 6 at 2 p.m. There will be light refreshments served. Please join us at 3536 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta.

Montrose Christmas Parade is coming up on Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. It will begin at Honolulu and Rosemont avenues and run east to Verdugo Road.
