Celebrate Christmas with Us at Polkatots

The Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce is having its December mixer at Polkatots on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at Polkatots in Montrose from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be lots of great food and beverages, business networking, raffle prizes, holiday music, a special prize for the ugliest sweater and of course cupcakes.

If you haven’t tried the cupcakes, you must. They are delicious and come in many flavors and two sizes. If you are having a holiday party, guests over for cocktails, need to bring something for a kids’ party at school or just want to taste a little holiday cheer, be sure to think of Polkatots. Polkatots came to Montrose just six short months ago and they are going strong. It’s always great to see new business succeed and thrive. Owner Melany Petrosian has accomplished a lot in a few short years. In 2008 she attended culinary school and graduated a chef from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Pasadena. A couple of months after graduating, her father Araik opened the bakery and Melany was soon in charge. That bakery was called “Polkatots Cupcakes.” That original location is in Pasadena at Cupcakes, 720 N. Lake Ave. Suite #3. Their phone number is (626) 798-3932. She was just 20 years old then!

Since that time, Polkatots has been featured in “People Magazine,” the “L.A. Times,” and EOnline to name a few. So please stop by to celebrate with Melany and support Polkatots and Montrose.

Help us support our new local business – the Village Vintage Shoppe – by joining us for a ribbon cutting tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 30 at noon. They are located at 3821 Ocean View Blvd. in Montrose. The owner Eileen has the store set up beautifully and carries a variety of antiques so you will be sure to find something you would fancy. The store specializes in antique jewelry and she has an abundance of items to choose from just in time for Christmas. Light refreshments will be served so you don’t have to skip your lunch.
