The La Crescenta Babe Ruth team Crippen Mortuary defeated the La Cañada Junior Baseball Association Royals with a score of 7-2 to claim the District 4 championship. The game was the final one played at Stengel Field before the stadium is partially torn down. The manager for Crippen was Sparr Heights resident Juan Pablo Valdez.
