Did You Feel It? Earthquake Hits SoCal

At approximately 10:08 a.m. today, Monday, an earthquake was detected four kilometers south of Julian, California in San Diego County. Alerts were sent to cellphones in the Southern California area as part of the earthquake early warning system. Initial reports were that the earthquake was a magnitude of 6.7; however, that has been downgraded to 5.2 according to USGS. The earthquake occurred

at a depth of 13.4 kilometers. Shaking was felt in the Los Angeles area; no damage has yet been reported.
