LUC Meeting to Present Housing Initiatives for Homeless

A representative from Los Angeles County Public Works/Regional Planning will make a presentation tonight, Thursday, Sept. 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Land Use Committee meeting of the Crescenta Valley Town Council. Los Angeles County is in the process of developing several housing initiatives for the unincorporated areas of the county. The presentation centers around ordinances regarding interim and supportive housing, inclusionary housing, by-right and affordable housing preservation. These represent the latest sets of housing ordinances. For more information, visit the Los Angeles County website at http://planning.lacounty.gov/housing/initiatives.

The Dept. of Regional Planning representative has requested input from the communities that will be impacted by these initiatives. Among other things, the LUC has requested that concerns be addressed at the meeting regarding who will be housed in the local community and what added infrastructure will be provided to serve the increase in density.

All are invited to the meeting in the community room of the La Crescenta Library, 2809 Foothill Blvd.
