Pinch of oregano
1 French baguette sliced into quarter inch rounds
6 leaves of romaine

12 cherry tomatoes thinly sliced
6 slices of American cheese quartered (or cheese of your choice)
Condiments of your choice
Olive oil for brushing baguette slices

Prepare
Pre-heat oven to 350
Arrange baguette slices in a single layer on a cookie sheet, and brush with olive oil, place in a pre-heated oven, and bake until lightly toasted, about 5 minutes.
Remove from oven, and allow to cool.
Season ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder and oregano, to your taste and mix lightly.
Form tablespoons of dough into mini burger patties.
Heat a skillet over medium high heat.
Cook patties 1-2 minutes on each side, until browned and well done, add cheese.
Place baguette slices on a large serving platter, and top each slice with a piece of romaine, then place a mini burger on each one and top with tomato slices.

You may add a decorative tooth pick, olive, cherry tomato and baby pickle.
Apply a dot of ketchup or mustard, or allow your guests to dress their own burgers.
