USC-VHH WOMEN’S COUNCIL OFFERS HARMONIES FOR THE HEART

The USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Women’s Council presents Harmonies for the Heart, a free online concert with The Mary Dyer Band. The concert is on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 5:30 p.m. To take part, ESVP to bit.ly/HarmoniesUSCVHH; Zoom log-in information will be sent.

Admission is free, but a donation to the Women’s Council IR Cath Lab Fund would be appreciated.

HELLO, GOODBYE: LCF ROYAL COURT

A drive by farewell to the 2020 La Cañada Flintridge Royal Court is being held on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at La Cañada High School.

On the 2020 court are Princesses Audrey Melillio, Grace Fontes, Ellaney Matarese and Reese Ramseyer and Queen Allison Rayer.

This is also an opportunity to meet the 2021 Royal Court and find out who will be named queen. On the 2021 court are Kyra Aitelli, Nadia Chung, Katharine Franklin, Clara Henriod and Jenna Milbrodt.

SPRING CLASSES OFFERED

Glendale Community College is offering a variety of free classes, including classes on administrative medical assisting and clinical medical assisting, beginning Feb. 16. These are part of the short-term vocational curriculum.

Virtual Meeting Planned for African Violet Society

The Burbank African Violet Society is having its next Zoom club meeting on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m.  The program will be a group discussion led by club members John Hershey and Wanda Penner, “African Violet Growing Mediums Success and Failures.” The discussion includes potting soil mixes that have been successes and what potting soil mixes have been failures.
