I’m Gonna Sing” Crescenta Valley High School Spring Choir Concert
Crescenta Valley High School Choral Department will present its annual Spring Concert with the theme “I’m Gonna Sing” on Friday, March 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the CVHS MacDonald Auditorium. The concert will be a mix of traditional European and American pieces, with music by composers such as J.S. Bach, Samuel Wesley, Johannes Brahms, and Robert Schumann, and American composers Moses Hogan, Eric Whitacre, and Vijay Singh.
The concert will feature many of the selections the CVHS A Cappella Choirs will be performing during their April choral tour of Germany.

WOMAN’S CLUB FASHION SHOW SATURDAY

LAUGH WITH KIWANIS
The Kiwanis Comedy Night is Saturday April 3, is being held at the Glendale Elks Club and will feature performances by four comedians from the Comedy Machine. The cost is $45 per ticket and includes dinner, silent auction and raffle.

THEATRE EXTENDS INVITATION
The Glendale Centre Theatre offers all Pasadena Playhouse season ticket subscribers a chance to attend its production of “Kiss Me, Kate.” “Kiss Me, Kate” continues through April 3, and a select number of seats for each performance will be set aside for Pasadena Playhouse season ticket holders on a first come, first served basis. Free, no charge; ticketholders just need to make a reservation with the box office and then present their Playhouse ticket for admittance. CVHS CLASSES HOLDING REUNIONS
The Crescenta Valley High School class of 2000 is having its 10-year reunion on July 17, 2010. From 6:30 to 10 p.m. there will be a hosted bar, reception buffet and awesome door prizes. The event is being held at the ESPN Zone at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. The cost is $75 per person if paid by Jan. 31; then $85 before April 30; $95 before June 30.

The Crescenta Valley High School class of 1980 is having its 30-year reunion
on July 17 at the Glendale Hilton Hotel. A reception will be held at 7:00 p.m. with dinner at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $101 and available through www.GreatReunions.com.

LOCAL ARTIST SUBJECT OF MEETING
On Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. the Little Landers Historical Society will present “World Famous Yet Forgotten – The Story of Margaret Morrish, Artist and Sunland Resident.” Morrish was born in Fort Collins, Colo. on Sept. 1, 1893. After the death of her husband, she and her children moved to California in 1926. In 1930, they settled into the Wonderview house located at the far west end of Los Angeles Street (now known as Apperson Street). There began her life-long love and career of painting. The public is invited to this free program and will learn about one of the area’s artists.

NOON CONCERTS OPEN TO PUBLIC
Glendale Noon Concerts is a free admission concert series taking place every first and third Wednesday from 12:10-12:40 p.m. in the newly restored chapel and sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Glendale (downtown at Louise & Wilson, no religious affiliation).
