EXTENDED SPRING HOURS FOR DESCANSO’S BODDY HOUSE
The historic Boddy House will be opened more days this spring for guests to enjoy the architecture, views and beauty of this 1939 Regency-styled home. Spring hours for the Boddy House will be 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Wednesdays through Sundays. Free docent tours take place only on Saturday and Sunday at noon.
Extended hours will run until Mother’s Day, May 9. Entrance to the Boddy House is free with Gardens’ general admission: $8 adults, $6 students/ seniors and $3 children 5-12.

GUILD MEETINGS
Glendale Quilt Guild meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the Glendale Central Library, 222 E. Harvard in Glendale at 6:00 p.m. The next meeting is on April 10 with featured speaker Sylvia Pippen, “Hawaiian Inspired Designs.” Also, the Guild is holding a workshop on April 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. featuring Syliva Pippen, “Sashiko and Applique.”

The Crescenta Valley High School class of 2000 is having its 10-year reunion on July 17. From 6:30 to 10 p.m. there will be a hosted bar, reception buffet and awesome door prizes. The event is being held at the ESPN Zone at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. The cost is $85 before April 30; $95 before June 30.

SUBJECT OF MEETING
On Saturday, April 10, at 1:00 p.m. the Little Landers Historical Society will present “World Famous Yet Forgotten – The Story of Margaret Morrish, Artist and Sunland Resident.” Morrish was born in Fort Collins, Colo. on Sept. 1, 1893. After the death of her husband, she and her children moved to California in 1926. In 1930, they settled into the Wonderview house located at the far west end of Los Angeles Street (now known as Apperson Street). There began her life-long love and career of painting. The public is invited to this free program and will learn about one of the area’s artists.

Glendale Noon Concerts is a free admission concert series taking place every first and third Wednesday from 12:10-12:40 p.m. in the newly restored chapel and sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Glendale (downtown at Louise & Wilson, no religious affiliation). Jazz pianist Suezenne Fordham will lead her jazz trio Suezenne Fordham Chamber Jazz L.A. on Wednesday, April 21. SWING DANCE CLASSES
AT THE YMCA
Beginning on Friday, April 9 and continuing every Friday through April 30, the Crescenta-Cañada Family YMCA will be holding dance classes dedicated to the art of swing. Lessons will focus on teaching students the basic steps, how to dance with a partner and how to move with style and confidence. Classes will be taught by Celia Weiss, an AFAA and YMCA aerobics instructor who studied with L.A. Master Ballroom Teachers Michael Huka and Francisco Martinez.
