YMCA HOSTING VEGGING OUT
On Friday, April 3 from 10 a.m. to noon, the YMCA is hosting a free children’s nutrition event Vegging Out. This event is sponsored by Earthly Delights Garden Design, MOMS Club of Glendale East, Whole Foods, Young Cooks and Great Books and the YMCA. Activities include preparing healthy and delicious snacks hosted by children’s cooking guru Sonia Chung. A professional nutritionist will be on hand to answer any questions and provide insight into kid’s nutrition. The event will be held in a secure, shaded play structure at the YMCA where children can play and participate in activities. All ages are welcome to this free event. YMCA of the Foothills, 1930 FoothillBlvd, La Cañada Flintridge.

SONS OF NORWAY
DINNER PLANNED
Reservations are due for Sons of Norway Grieg Lodge catered Norwegian dinner on Saturday, April 24. Social hour is 5:30, dinner 6:30. The cost is $15 per person. 20-year reunion on Saturday, May 29
at the Glendale Hilton. The event begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are $99 per person and are available through

The Crescenta Valley High School class of 2000 is having its 10-year reunion on July 17. From 6:30 to 10 p.m. there will be a hosted bar, reception buffet and awesome door prizes. The event is being held at the ESPN Zone at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. The cost is $85 before April 30; $95 before June 30.

The Crescenta Valley High School class of 1980 is having its 30-year reunion on July 17 at the Glendale Hilton Hotel. A reception will be held at 7:00 p.m. with dinner at 8:00 p.m.

VHH OFFERS BABYSITTING CLASSES FOR YOUTH
The Verdugo Hills Hospital Beginnings Family Education Program offers babysitting classes designed for boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 15. The next class is on April 24 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The babysitting class is an interactive course that teaches participants valuable skills, including infant/child CPR, basic first aid, home/auto safety, accident prevention, telephone skills, safety tips, when to call 911, poison control, fire/earthquake plans and other helpful childcare advice. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a babysitting course completion certificate.
Classes are offered at VHH, located at 1812 Verdugo Blvd. in the Council Room located on the fourth floor).

SCO CELEBRATES MEXICO’S BICENTENNIAL
Santa Cecilia Orchestra celebrates the 200th anniversary of Mexico’s independence and the 100th anniversary of its revolution with works from Mexican composers Carlos Chávez and Blas Galindo Dimas.
