Scout aka “Scootie” is a one-year old Schnauzer/Scottish Terrier mix that was 2 months old when he was abandoned in a foreclosed house. Neighbors heard him barking and called the authorities. Scout spent the next 8 months at New Life K-9 Rescue … life was okay … but he didn’t have a family to call his own.

When the shelter highlighted Scout, a love connection was made between Lori Mandel Stone, her husband Richard and her sister Amy Mandel.
