NOW »This recent shot is of the same general area, the main trail leading up Dunsmore Canyon. All the vegetation is gone and a thick layer of ash covers every surface. Despite the “moonscape” appearance of the park, a close-up look reveals the budding shoots of thousands of plants pushing up through the hard, gray soil.
