GBK, the company behind all the amazing gift bag lounges for The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys and more, have outdone themselves. They give back through donations to charities all year long and this year they decided to put on a gifting lounge independent of any awards show and donate everything to charities. The Naughty or Nice Gift Lounge was held atop the tallest building in Los Angeles – OUE SkySpace in the top of the U.S. Bank Building in Downtown LA. Celebrities and members of the media were invited to come and experience SkySpace and learn about some cool products topping the trends today. Each attendee received gifts ranging from $1,000 gift cards to Ike’s Place Sandwiches to a new pair of high heels from Guilty Soles to the EZ PZ silicone mat and bowl set for little kids’ dinnertime. All of these things were gifted to attendees with the request that they pass it along to benefit a charity of their choice either through auction or straight donation. Then some other vendors, such as Katya Candles, gave attendees the chance to raise money for their chosen charity as well by using a special online discount code and having 10% of the sales donated to their charity.
CV Weekly was invited and donated the received gifts to Prom Plus and The Firehouse in La Crescenta. The shoes and apparel received will go into the Firehouse’s Prom Dress Share program and the gift cards will go to feeding the many student volunteers from Prom Plus Club at the various events around the Crescenta Valley where they work. The rest of the received gifts, including gift certificates for Manly Handz mobile spa, the EZPZ mat and recipe book, the Katya Candle and more, will be prizes in the opportunity drawings at the upcoming Prom Plus Bingo Night fundraiser.
