GLENDALE ARTS LAUNCHES BOX OFFICE OUTLET AT GLENDALE
COMMUNITY COLLEGE
The New GA Ticket Outlet Officially Opened on March 13.

Glendale Arts and Glendale Community College are pleased to announce the launch of a new GA Ticket Outlet on the Glendale Community College campus.  Located in the lobby of the college’s historic Auditorium Building (Main GCC Campus, 1500 N. Verdugo Rd.), the outlet will be staffed by GCC students and operate Monday – Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the start of a GCC ticketed performance.

Under this partnership, GA Tickets will offer 24/7 online ticket sales for GCC productions as well as training GCC work-study students as ticket agents selling tickets to performances at the college as well as the Alex Theatre and other GA ticketed events and performances.

Additionally, Glendale Arts will provide digital marketing services on its website (www.GlendaleArts.org), social media outlets and eNewsletters to help promote GCC performances and ticketed events. Prior to the March 13 launch, GCC’s ticket selling ability was limited to cash and check transactions on the day of the performance.

“When the Glendale Community College Box Office is launched, we’ll be able to sell tickets online, accept credit cards at the theatre and market our performances and events to an entirely new audience. To say that this is an exciting new opportunity for us is an understatement,” stated Dawn S. Lindsay, Superintendent/President of the College and Glendale Arts Board Member.

GA Tickets launched in November of 2011 and capitalizes on Glendale Arts’ more than 17 years experience in operating the Alex Theatre Box Office. GA Tickets delivers a streamlined ticketing process by combining a web-based service with its existing Alex Theatre and satellite box offices services to help increase ticket sales through the organization’s marketing and promotional features and offering off- and online sales tools.

Elissa Glickman, Interim CEO of Glendale Arts, states, “The satellite box office is an essential component of the community outreach programs of Glendale Arts. If this economy has taught us anything, it’s that we must market ourselves continually and find new sources of earned income. We offered a service that Glendale Community College needed.  Do we both hope to make money?  You bet! But we are doing so in a way that benefits both institutions.”

Glendale Arts also operates outlets at The Americana at Brand and Alex Theatre.

Hours & Services:

In Person – The GCC outlet will be open Monday – Thursday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and on performance days until one-half hour after the scheduled start time of the event.

The Alex Theatre Box Office is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12:00 noon until 5:00 PM and on performance days until one-half hour after the scheduled start time of the event.

Tickets can also be purchased 7 days per week from 11:00 am to 7:00 PM at The
Americana at Brand Ticket Outlet located at Concierge Services in the Grand Lobby (889 Americana Way).

By Phone – Phone orders may be placed by calling 818-243-ALEX (2539) Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 noon until 5:00 PM. There is a service charge for phone orders.

Online – GA Tickets may be purchased at www.GlendaleArts.org.  Alex Theatre tickets may be purchased at www.AlexTheatre.org.  Both web sites provide secure online transactions with credit card numbers protected through CyberSource credit card processing.
