Tickets on Sale for Charlie Awards

The Hollywood Arts Council will present the 26th Annual Charlie Awards luncheon on Thursday, March 29 starting at 11:30 a.m. in The Blossom Room at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel; 7000 Hollywood Blvd. (at Orange Street) in Hollywood.

Emceed by ABC7’s George Pennacchio, celebrity guests will present awards to individuals and companies for significant contributions to the arts and Hollywood. This year’s Charlie Award honorees include James Burrows, inaugural Television Arts Award; Cirque du Soleil’s “Iris,” Entertainment Arts Award; Feast of San Gennaro Los Angeles, Cultural Arts Award; The Ricardo Montalbán Theatre, Theatre Arts Award; Hollywood Center Studios, Hollywood Arts Award and Eric Garcetti, Special Recognition.

In addition to the honorees, additional celebrities are confirmed to attend the event. Some cast members in costume from Cirque du Soleil’s “Iris” will in attendance as well.

The Annual Charlie Awards help support Project S.O.A.R. (Students Overcoming All Risks), the Hollywood Arts Council’s After School Art Workshops held in eight Hollywood area elementary schools, and its Annual Children’s Festival of the Arts held each August at Paramount Pictures.
