Free Dance Performance
Held At Glendale College
Dance Production 2012 will be presented in the Glendale Community College Dance Theatre Tuesday, May 22 through Sunday, May 27.
Shows are at 8 p.m. on May 22, 12:20 p.m. and 8 p.m. May 23-25, 8 p.m. on May 26 and at 2 p.m. on May 27.
The annual dance production has been held at the college for 42 years and features more than 40 dancers in 16 different dances. Dance Professor Dora Krannig and Emeritus Professor Lynn McMurrey direct the event. Students both perform and choreograph the dances as part of their course work from the dance production and jazz performance skills classes.
Admission is free and open to the public. No children under 5 admitted. Seating is limited and on a first come first served basis. Early arrival is advised.
The Dance Theatre is located in the Sierra Nevada Gym.

Orchestra Performs French Music at Annual Spring Concert
The Glendale College Community Orchestra, conducted by Beth Pflueger, will perform in concert on Sunday, May 20 in the Auditorium at 3 p.m.
The performance will be a concert of French music. The featured soloist will be soprano Lori Ann Fuller, singing two arias from Gounod’s “Romeo and Juliet.” The orchestra will also perform “Symphonie Fantastique” by Hector Berlioz and Claude Debussy’s “Cortege et Air de Danse.”
Tickets are $10 for general admission and $8 for students and seniors. They may be purchased online at www.glendalearts.org or at the college box office, Alex Theatre box office or the concierge desk at the Americana at Brand.
