Izela is a mix of folk, jazz and progressive rock music. The group has a virtuosic repertoire that combines thousands of years of traditional music and unique instrumentation with contemporary jazz and Zappa-esque experimental rock. Izela will be playing at the Brand Plaza on Friday, Aug. 23 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Every Friday through August visitors to Brand Park can hear summer concerts for free on the Brand Library Plaza, supported by the City of Glendale and the Glendale Arts & Culture Commission, with funding from the Urban Art Program and the Brand Associates.
