The Eyegore Awards are held annually to celebrate the greatest names in horror and as a kick-off event for the Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights. Past recipients include Danny Trejo, Rick Baker, Rob Zombie, Eli Roth, Rainn Wilson, David Arquette, Alice Cooper, and Guillermo del Toro, just to name a few. This year, a new group of victims… I mean inductees … were honored for their work in horror. From “The Walking Dead,”special effects guru Greg Nicotero was presented his award by creator of “The Walking Dead,” Robert Kirkman and host of “Talking Dead,” Chris Hardwick. Director John Landis was presented an Eyegore by longtime friend and collaborator, make up effects master Rick Baker. Trejo took the stage to  present Robert Rodriguez with an award, and finally Slash came out and wowed with an amazing performance of the title track from the soundtrack to his directorial debut, a horror film called “Nothing Left to Fear.” After the ceremony, guests were invited into the park to experience Halloween Horror Nights.
