Then & Now | Wasson Realty

Then » From the booming ‘20s through the booming ‘60s, the real estate market was hot in the Crescenta Valley, and real estate offices lined all the main streets of La Crescenta. Wasson Realty was one of the very first, and in the early 20s established an office at 2767 Foothill Blvd., which was in a of couple different buildings in that same location for most of the last century. Here we see a smartly dressed Realtor in front of Wasson Realty in the mid-60s. Note the dynamic neon pole sign that was a standard feature of most businesses of that era.

Now » The refurbished old building is now the temporary home of the Armenian Church of La Cañada and Crescenta Valley where the growing congregation has to squeeze into the old office space. The property was purchased by the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church last year and, according to their website, they have plans to build a larger church here.
