Glendale Arts, in partnership with Scope Locations, presents “Behind the Lens: Stories of the City Through Location Professionals.” The group photography exhibit will be on view through Oct. 25 at ace/121 Gallery in Glendale.

The exhibition celebrates the contributions of location professionals to filmmaking and showcases their artistic interpretations of filming locations across Los Angeles. Each piece reflects the spirit of their craft, capturing hidden gems, iconic landmarks and the essence of the city through their unique lens.

“Location professionals are the unsung heroes of filmmaking and this exhibit shines a light on their remarkable ability to transform ordinary places into extraordinary cinematic moments,” said Shirley Scopelitis, president of Scope Locations. “We’re excited to share their unique perspectives with the public.”

The exhibition opened during the Glendale International Film Festival, where it was met with enthusiasm by filmmakers and film lovers.

“Launching ‘Behind the Lens’ at GIFF 2024 was a natural fit,” said Nina Crowe, CEO of Glendale Arts. “The festival celebrates every aspect of filmmaking and this exhibit is a wonderful way to showcase the critical role that location professionals play in bringing a film’s story to life.”
