The Glendale Youth Orchestra conducted by Brad Keimach opens its 25th season with a flourish on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. at the historic Alex Theatre in Glendale.
In addition to symphonies by Mozart and Beethoven, Hillary Lin Santoso (senior, San Marino High School) will perform the first movement of a Rachmaninoff piano concerto.
The GYO will perform: Mozart – Symphony No. 31 “Paris,” Rachmaninoff – Piano Concerto No. 2, 1st movement, and Beethoven – “Symphony No. 8.”
The GYO is a premier L.A. Phil Youth Orchestra mentorship program, and is funded in part by a grant from L.A. County Arts Commission.
Tickets are $12.50 and may be purchased from the Alex Theatre box office. Groups of 15 or more get 15% off. Students, children and seniors may purchase tickets for $10 each.
