Clark Magnet Info, Apps
Information for private school students residing in Glendale interested in enrolling at Clark Magnet High School next August is available online at www.gusdmagnetandflag.com; at the Clark Magnet High School office, 4747 New York Ave. in La Crescenta; at any of the Glendale Unified School District’s four middle schools: Roosevelt, Rosemont, Toll or Wilson; and at the Student Support Services office, Room 203, at the Administration Center, 223 N. Jackson St., Glendale.
Applications will be available online as of Jan. 17. Those without Internet access may complete the online application in person at the Administration Center by 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 30. This is the deadline for all applications to be submitted.
Applications submitted after Jan. 30 will not be included in the electronic lottery, but will be placed on a separate waiting list.
Approximately 350 students will be accepted into the ninth grade class. If more qualified students apply than there are openings, an electronic lottery will be conducted to fill the class.
Students entering Grades 10-12 may apply; however, only a few, if any, openings in these grade levels are anticipated and students will be placed on a waiting list. Total school enrollment is limited to about 1,100 students.

Yellow Ribbon Week
This coming week is Yellow Ribbon Week for Glendale Unified School District schools. Parents are encouraged to check with their child’s school for activities. At Rosemont Middle School, an entire week of “kindness” is planned including banners, friendship grams, construction of a chain of kindness and the PTA lemonade stand.
