Students from Lincoln Elementary School went downtown on Monday to the Los Angeles Opera. Three second grade classes attended the outing as part of the L.A. Opera’s Education Dept. The class was selected to attend the student matinee of “The Magic Dream,” a variation on “The Magic Flute.” The students enjoyed lunch on the plaza at the Los Angeles Music Center before returning to La Crescenta.
Jill Burnam, the opera’s Education manager and a La Crescenta resident, said the students from Lincoln were the best prepared audience of students to ever come to their opera house.
