On Saturday, Jan. 23 Mountain Avenue Elementary School will be holding its annual science fair. The community is invited to stop by the school campus from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. to meet experts from the scientific community and participate in 10 hands-on stations. Families are welcome and there will be opportunities to do some experiments together.

An estimated 210 participants took part in festivities last year. Many students chose projects that expanded upon something they learned in their class from alternative energy to experiments with solar ovens.

Mountain Avenue Elementary School is located at 2307 Mountain Ave. in La Crescenta.
