Responding to requests by the community, LCPC Parent Education program is holding a new February night series. For this series, LCPC educators will share tips and strategies on helping families thrive in the new year. The class has been designed with busy parents in mind.
Session topics include:
Feb. 1 – “How to Talk So Your Kids will Listen” by Christa Peitzman
Feb. 8 – “How to Create Life Long Family Bonding & Traditions” by Jan Roberts
Feb. 15 – “Organizing Your Life” by Anne Bierling
Feb. 22 – “Boundaries for Every Age” by Staff Panel
Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings in February beginning Feb. 1 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Classes will be located in the new Children’s Pavilion, Room 203. The cost is $25 per person or $40 per couple for four sessions. Childcare is available; please RSVP for childcare at (818) 790-6708 x 205. The childcare cost is $5 per family and will be located in Room 205.
In addition to the Night Series, Parent Ed is beginning a New Babies Class. Taught by an experienced mom of six and child educator Nanette Brown, the New Babies class brings parents together to encourage loving and effective parenting.
This class is designed for babies born between Aug. 1 and Dec. 31, 2010. This class will be held on Thursdays beginning Feb. 10 and continuing through June 2 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in Room 305 of the Family Life Center. The cost is $265 per semester.
