ALG Provides SAT Seminars
Assistance League of Glendale offers biannual SAT seminars (usually in March and September) to students attending public and private high schools in Glendale and the surrounding communities. The seminars are held at Thrift Alley, 314 E. Harvard St. in Glendale. Seminar teachers are currently teaching at local high schools and are highly qualified.
Two sessions are offered: on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning Feb. 12 and continuing through March 7 or Tuesdays and Thursdays from Feb. 13 through March 8. They run for four weeks from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. The cost is $60 that includes eight meetings (two hours each), plus book Kaplan SAT.

Scholarship Applications Now Available
The La Cañada Thursday Club Foundation will again be awarding scholarships to graduating high school seniors who live in the City of La Cañada Flintridge or attend school in La Cañada. The Foundation scholarship recipients are selected based on academic achievement, community service and potential for success. The Denise Greenawalt Scholarship recipients are selected based on academic achievement, triumph over an obstacle, hardship or extenuating circumstance and potential for success.
The scholarship applications are available on the La Cañada Thursday Club website lacanadathursdayclub.org. The deadline for all items to be received (as specified in the instructions) is 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26.
