The La Cañada Flintridge Community Center preschool held its annual Father’s Saturday Morning at the preschool in January. The preschool children and their fathers were invited to spend the morning together, exploring their classroom and making special crafts. Children and dads made neckties, practiced “shaving,” made Fruit Loop necklaces, played with dough, dinosaurs and blocks, and dug in the sand.

The LCFCC preschool is an extension of the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge and offers a half-day program for children ages 3 through 5, with the option of an extended day program. Additionally, there is an exclusive opportunity to attend afterschool classes at the community center, designed to enhance the preschool experience.

The preschool strives to provide a warm, safe and nurturing atmosphere with a wide variety of age appropriate activities designed to promote the social, intellectual, physical and emotional aspects of learning. Teachers work to create an environment for the children to learn through active exploration and discovery.

Registration is currently open for the 2013-14 school year. School tours are by appointment only. To schedule a tour of the school, contact school director Danielle Caputo at (818) 790-8687.
