In February, Wolf Den 5 of Pack 360, chartered by the American Legion Post 288, enjoyed visiting local Deukmejian Wilderness Park. The second graders, led by Melissa Arias, had viewed animal displays and learned about local wildlife. Jeff Weinstein and Marc Stirdivant gave the scouts and their families a rare tour of the Deukmejian barn. They taught the scouts about the Le Mesnager family and what life was like living on a vineyard.

Pack 360 is grateful to Glendale Parks for this regional resource. Local scouts rely on the Deukmejian Wilderness Park and its resources to learn about native plant life and the world around them. Scouts have had the opportunity to complete Eagle projects, camp, take part in astronomy lessons and hike in this local gem.
