Crescenta Valley High School held its annual open house on Wednesday, March 31. The event is an opportunity for parents to meet their children’s teachers with the students, learning about the projects and activities that they have participated in through the school year. Additionally, open house provides a chance for parents to see how their son or daughter is progressing in school.
For those who didn’t have time to cook beforehand, Prom Plus had dinners of hamburgers, chips and a drink available for purchase.
Members of the Falcon Award committee, an organization at CV that raises scholarship money to support well-deserving students, went around asking for donations.
“I find it heart-warming to see all our parents taking the time to come to the school to see how we’re doing. Their support for us is obvious when they support school clubs and organizations as well,” said senior Yoon Lee.
Open house is one of two events during the school year when parents can meet the teachers without scheduling a conference. Back to School Night in September helps parents and students prepare for the school year and is much more structured than open house.
