Los Angeles County Science & Engineering Fair (LACSEF) Winners Announced

The 75th Annual Los Angeles County Science and Engineering Fair (LACSEF) took place March 9-10 at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. The event hosted approximately 1,150 students in grades six-12 from over 140 schools across LA County. The science fair is split into a senior (high school) and a junior (middle school) division. Students competed for numerous award opportunities and scholarships. The top first and second place winners from each category were invited to participate in the California State Science & Engineering Fair that will take place in Thousand Oaks on April 12-13. 

Satyajith Payasam of Rosemont Middle School in La Crescenta won first place in the category of Engineering Applications, Junior Division, for the project: Append AI.

The team of Ariana Kotikian, Arpa Bostanian and Angelina Torosyan of in Armenian Sisters Academy (Montrose) won first place in their category of Chemistry – General, Junior Division, for the project: Organic vs. Non-Organic Hair Dye.
