On Thursday, April 18 three Cub Scouts from Monte Vista Elementary School visited the Crescenta Valley Weekly office. The boys are in the first grade at Monte Vista, but are not in the same class.
They came to learn about newspapers, said Emilio Yniguez, 7.
“I like the meetings,” Brody Gibbs, 6, said of being a Cub Scout.
“I like camping,” added Justin Gutierrez, 7.
One thing they all agreed was fun was the Pinewood Derby that was held recently at Dunsmore Park. All the dens in Pack 302 participated.
By visiting the CV Weekly, the boys will earn their last Go See It bead before advancing to Wolf. Wolves do many of the same things that the Cubs do, and even more.
“I think that they get to use BB guns,” said Emilio.
The Cub Scouts meet usually on Fridays and Saturdays at Monte Vista.
