Students at La Cañada Flintridge schools are selected by their teachers for recommendation to the Kiwanis Club as Terrific Kids. Selection criteria include scholastics but goes beyond to include children who are outstanding in how they participate in their school, with fellow students, and in the community.

The Terrific Kids recognition program was held at the regular weekly meeting of the Kiwanis Club of La Cañada held at Van de Kamp Hall at Descanso Gardens. The club meets weekly at noon on Wednesdays. Guests are always welcome.
