The Foothill SELPA [Special Education Local Plan Area] held its Family Transition Forum on March 31 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at John Burroughs High School. The forum is designed to provide students with disabilities ages 14 to 21 and their families an opportunity visit exhibitor tables, meet with vendors and agencies, listen to a wide range of speakers, and participate in a panel discussion on options as they transition from high school and beyond.
Dr. Amy Lambert, GUSD assistant superintendent of Special Education, welcomed students and families from the three participating districts: Burbank, Glendale, and La Cañada to the event. Events are shared and co-hosted among participating SELPA districts.
