The Crescenta Valley High School boys’ lacrosse team celebrated its graduating seniors in April with a win over Village Christian giving them a League record of 9-2. Nine seniors will be moving on, including one of the two sets of twins on the varsity team.
CV players continue to rank near the top of players in California in assists, ground balls, take-aways, goals against average and save percentage. Despite losing their coach this year when he left to coach Village Christian boys’ lacrosse and graduating 13 seniors last year, CV continues to thrive with new head coach Rick Starratt and enough players to field a JV team led by coach Josh Silverman.
Only three schools in the Gold Coast League have JV teams so the JV team has done a lot of traveling for games, leaving them in April with a record of 8-4-1.
