On May 3, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy hosted its annual Gala. This year, the theme was “Do you believe in magic … in a young girl’s heart?” and guests included current parents, past parents, alumnae, faculty, staff and other members of the FSHA community. Co-chaired by current parents Nancy Mercolino and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick, the evening festivities began at 5 p.m. with photographs, appetizers and the opening of the silent auction. At the silent auction, guests bid on jewelry, designer clothes and handbags, home décor items, beauty supplies, artwork and other items like a Disney Animation Studios Tour.
Guests then made their way into the clear Gala tent where everyone dined under twinkling lights and crepe paper roses and enjoyed a performance by Magic Castle magician Jim Witkowski. Sister Carolyn McCormack (FSHA president) and Sister Celeste Marie Botello (FSHA principal) got into the fun with their own magic trick performance. Dinner was provided by The Spot.
The evening’s live auction included catering for 50 from Los Tacos and weekend getaways to Newport Beach and Paso Robles. The night ended with a jewelry raffle for a diamond double heart necklace donated by Personal Touch Jewelry and a cash raffle.
