Crescenta Valley High School’s prom was a big hit last weekend with 688 in attendance. The prom’s theme was “The Last Dance” and was held at V20 Club in Long Beach. As is the tradition at prom, a king and queen were crowned.

The royal seniors were King Paul Cho and Queen Danielle Matosian. Also a tradition with Crescenta Valley High School students was returning to the foothills to attend Prom Plus after their night of dancing in Long Beach.

Students began arriving at the YMCA shortly before midnight on Saturday. They traded their suits and gowns for jeans and flip-flops and took advantage of all the games and food Prom Plus had to offer.

They rode the mechanical bull, some donning a cowboy balloon hat made by the balloon lady. They bounced back and forth on the bungie jump and pitted their strength against a giant rubber band in the bungie run. KIIS FM kept things going all night with music while moms baked away in the kitchen.

Over 400 seniors and their guests attended Prom Plus.  They arrived, jump, bounced, sang, danced and ate for five hours. Thanks to the YMCA, KIIS FM and the dedicated and very tired volunteers who made it all possible.
