For those who have thought about hosting a foreign exchange student but weren’t sure how to get started, Education First (EF) has two programs to choose from. Option one provides the opportunity to be a permanent host family for the school year. Option two is for those wishing to be a welcome family, choosing a student to come and stay for the first eight to 12 weeks, allowing the student to become comfortable with their surroundings.
EF High School Exchange Year has experienced professionals who will walk interested host families through the process of selecting the right student and are available with support for the host family and the student throughout the entire year.
Both programs are rewarding and offer an amazing experience to learn about another culture, bring cultural awareness into the community and schools and create lifelong friendship with a student. All students speak English. EF host families can be retired, empty-nesters, singles, alternative and traditional.
