At the age of 17, after his junior year at Crescenta Valley High School, Tyler Hill enlisted in the U.S. Army as an infantry airborne ranger. Now a graduate of CV, he is preparing to leave for Ft. Benning, Georgia in July.
Upon graduation, Hill was awarded the Army’s National Scholar/Athlete Award for his GPA and for being a four-year leader on the CV varsity football team.
A few days after his high school graduation, during a small ceremony at the Burbank Recruiting office, Hill was promoted to the rank of private (E2) for referrals and completing all required classes.
